I’m Sneha Lakshman, and I’m delighted you’ve stopped by.
DESIGNER:
I have over 20 years of experience as a visual designer, product strategist & UI/UX strategist. This journey has been one of continuous learning, creativity, and impact. I am the co-founder of Dig Design Studio and Samudra Network. I’ve had the privilege of leading businesses & design projects which are deeply aligned with user needs and broader business goals. I design for the next new generations.
Throughout my career, I’ve always sought to strike a careful balance between functionality and aesthetics. I believe that design is more than just beautiful; it would resonate with people on a deeper level, providing solutions that are both intuitive and meaningful. My work is heavily influenced by a keen understanding of contextual and cultural nuances, which I blend seamlessly with global design trends to create experiences that are universally appealing yet deeply personal.
ARTIST:
In early 2023, I actively started to explore personal, philosophical questions via the visual aesthetics of contemporary art, where I could reach new understanding and inner dialog. My artistic journey has led me to combine ancient Indian philosophical themes with modern Abstract and Geometric styles. This fusion of the old and the new has allowed me to craft a unique body of work that feels both fresh and culturally resonant. My art delves into the spiritual and philosophical aspects of Indian culture, exploring how these ideas interact with contemporary aesthetics to tell stories about the dynamics between the individual and the whole; their overlaps and interactions. Each piece guides viewers on this meditative and spiritual journey, offering a narrative that is both innovative and deeply rooted in tradition while creating space for self-led exploration from the viewer.
ACADEMIC:
Beyond my professional work, I am deeply passionate about design education and mentorship. I firmly believe in the power of education to transform lives and careers. I am dedicated to empowering the next generation by helping them uncover their potential and channel their innovation and creativity into developing essential problem-solving and thriving life skills. Whether through structuring education programs, one-on-one mentoring, or broader industry talks, I strive to inspire and equip aspiring designers with the tools they need to succeed and innovate in a rapidly changing world.
